Welcome!

...and now that I've got your attention, I wanted to let everyone know that I will be moving from xanga.com. I know its a hassle, but I have decided that xanga is as well, and I think everyone will agree with me that blogger is more simplistic and easier to use. I am hoping to write more and not just post pictures like I did with xanga, but we'll see how it goes. At any rate, the new domain name is: www.claymthompson.blogspot.com I hope everyone makes it there and leaves me some coooool comments!

    Fall 2007: Oregon Trip

    Fall 2007: Oregon Trip
For Fall Break, three friends and I ventured down to the Oregon coast.  The trip proved to be a very needed break from the turmoil of school, and it was an amazing experience.  The first night we stayed in a friend's house and the second night we rented a YURT to sleep in.  It was very much fun!  Here are some neat pictures.

On the way down, it rained, and then the sun came out...

The house that we stayed at was absolutely beautiful and the views from their front yard offered many great photo opportunities...

    A picture from the drive...

On the way to the beach we discovered an air museum with the UGLIEST plane ever

We also went to a couple cheese factories.  First, we went to Blue Heron in Tillamook, Oregon.  NEXT we went to the Tillamook cheese factory (yum).

Then, we took lots of pictures at the actual beach: Cape Lookout.

The last morning of our trip, we decided to take a hike to Point Lookout, which overlooks the beach and the ocean.  So beautiful.  luckily, the day opened up and the sun shone and it couldn't have been a more pleasant morning.

And, probably the neatest mushroom I've ever seen...

That was my Fall Break.  It was a nice break from school in early October.  The next post will be showing my first Thanksgiving here at UPS.  Hope you enjoyed the pictures!!!!
